2400AV Hydraulic Catwalk

R-Cat Oilfield Corp provides several different models of catwalk. The 2400AV model is a catwalk used to move tubulars between the rig floor and the pipe racks. This catwalk is a push/pull style of catwalk using a ramp and skate. The catwalk is hydraulic powered and controlled by a manual handle control box as well as a wireless remote control.

The Catwalk consists of:

• Catwalk Base
• V-Door
• Skate
• Two stand-alone pipe racks
• Indexers and Kickers on either side
• Hydraulic power pack assembly
• Electric control box on the Off-driller’s side, flare end.
• Radio Remote Control

The base of the catwalk is the main structure and contains the Kickers and Indexers. The adjustable telescoping v-door extends from the base of the catwalk to just over the rig floor. The v-door is adjusted by a manual joystick (located on the off-driller’s side across from the front driller’s side stairs) that controls the hydraulic cylinders located underneath the catwalk.

Movement of tubulars to and from the rig floor is done through the use of the skate. This skate is run on a cable drive system mounted inside the catwalk deck. The following illustration shows an overview of the 2400AV hydraulic catwalk.
