2400C Hydraulic Catwalk

R-Cat Oilfield Corp provides several different models of catwalk. The 2400C model is a catwalk used to move tubulars between the rig floor and the pipe racks. This catwalk is a push/pull style of catwalk using a ramp and skate. The catwalk is hydraulic powered and controlled by a manual handle control box as well as a wireless remote control.

The Catwalk consists of:

• Catwalk Base
• V-Door
• Skate
• Two stand-alone pipe racks for Range II and three for Range III
• Indexers and Kickers on either side
• Hydraulic power pack assembly
• Electric control box on the Off-driller’s side, flare end.
• Radio Remote Control

The base of the catwalk is the main structure and contains the Kickers and Indexers. The telescoping v-door extends from the base of the catwalk to just over the rig floor. The v-door is adjusted by a manual joystick (located just under the stair assembly on the driller’s side) that controls a hydraulic chain drive located underneath the catwalk.

Movement of tubulars to and from the rig floor is done through the use of the skate. This skate is run on a cable drive system mounted inside the catwalk deck. The following illustration shows the major components as well as the layout of the 2400C hydraulic catwalk.
